Accident Reconstruction Plus (ARP) utilizes Vetronix's Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system to download information from the vehicle's Event Data Recorder (EDR), "the Black Box".
In an event of a crash, the vehicle's air bag module stores some key information on the vehicle's behavior that may be of high interest during the Accident Investigation and Reconstruction process. Some of the information that may be obtained by downloading an EDR is as follows:
• Pre Crash Data on Vehicle's Speed
• Data at Non-Deployment of the Airbag
• Data at Deployment of Airbag
• Delta V
• Vehicle's Braking, Engine Speed and Throttle
The extent of the information obtained from the EDR is dependent upon the make and model of the vehicle.
